Charvak Lake and mountains — a day trip from Tashkent

Where to go from Tashkent

All destinations are in the Bostanlyk district of the Tashkent Region, close to each other. Each has its own character:

  • Chimgan — Greater Chimgan peak, a chairlift and walks through mountain gorges
  • Charvak — a turquoise reservoir among the mountains, swimming and rest in summer
  • Amirsoy — a modern mountain resort with a gondola and ski slopes

When to go

  • Winter — snow, skiing and snowboarding at Amirsoy and Chimgan
  • Spring — green slopes, tulips and full waterfalls
  • Summer — cool mountain air and swimming at Charvak
  • Autumn — golden slopes and quiet trails

What to bring

It is noticeably cooler in the mountains than in the city, and the weather changes fast. Bring a light jacket, comfortable shoes, sunglasses and sunscreen. In winter — warm clothes and gloves.
